learning that can be applied to improve learners mathematical analysis ability is the Group Investigation Model. The purpose
of this study was to determine the improvement of mathematical analysis abilities of learners who learned using the Group
Investigation Model and Discovery Learning Model. The research method used in this study is a quasi-experimental method.
The population in this study were all VIII grade learners in one of junior high schools in Bandung district with a sample
of learners in class VIII-H as an experimental class and class VIII-J as a control class. The instruments used is a
mathematical analysis ability test. Based on the results of the Mann Whitney test analysis the mathematical analysis ability
test obtained a conclusion that is improvement of mathematical analysis ability of learners who learn using Group
Investigation Model better than learners who learn using Discovery Learning Model.
